Event Details

Orientation: 5:30pm-6:30pm Wednesday, August 26
Class Time/Dates: 9am-6pm on Thursday-Sunday, August 27-30

Schedule: 1 hour orientation. 4 one day sessions.
Class size: 14 students (with enough additional interest, we will expand into two groups of at least 10 each)***
Class length: 8 hours (32 hours total)

Pre-Requisites: Some Improv Performance experience

Welcome to Long-Form Summer Intensive 2009—The best, most in-depth and quality Long-Form education that 4 days can offer. BATS Long-Form training focuses on the core elements that make San Francisco-style Long-Form successful—ensemble, narrative, acting, and genre/characters. Explore BATS Improv's unique style of sustained, improvised narratives while working with master coaches on professional vocal and physical stage techniques. This intensive program of Long-Form improv performance training is for improvisers with previous performing experience who want to step up to the next level. Lunchtime Learning Cafe topics will include "Developing Long-Form Formats " and "Researching Genres." Includes 32 hours of instruction. (Limit 14 students) Curriculum developed by Tim Orr.

Coaches for the Four-Day Long-Form Intensive are: Rafe Chase, Gerri Lawlor, Regina Saisi and Tim Orr.

BATS Improv Class Refund Policy:

Your class tuition includes a non-refundable deposit:

- $50 for series classes
- $10 for specialty workshops
- 20% for summer intensives and youth/teen camps

If you have registered for a class and decide you want to drop that class AT LEAST 14 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS SESSION, you may choose to receive a refund for the amount of the class minus your non-refundable deposit OR you may choose to reapply your payment IN FULL to another BATS class.

Classes dropped 4-13 days before the start of the class are not eligible for the re-application of full payment to another class. You may either reapply your payment (minus the applicable deposit) or receive a partial refund. This option is not available for those enrolled in summer intensives or youth/teen camps.

Regular classes/workshops dropped within 72 hours of the first class session, or summer intensives and youth/teen camps dropped within two weeks of the first session, are not eligible for either re-application or any refund.
